There is no such thing as bad luck, just bad preparation. When things go wrong around implementation time there are some simple things you can do in advance to make a recovery less desperate. The PMBOK would call it risk mitigation planning, but this talk will focus more on when the things happen that you never would have thought to put on your risk register. In general, there is very little in the PMBOK or PMP training classes on implementation disaster planning. After all, who would have to commit to a go-live without everything in perfect order and omniscient risk plans? We do. All the time.

As a project manager and leader, Jeff helps rescue relationships, discover common ground, and turn storming groups into high functioning teams. A big fan of the emotional intelligence factors in project management, Jeff has a reputation for recovering broken teams and rebuilding stakeholder relationships.

Jeff has over 25 years of experience in Project Management where he helps organizations build and re-vitalize PMOs and deliver strategic and operational projects for high-tech start-ups, financial services, retail, local government, and utilities.
