Don WintersThe Chief Operations Officer (COO) is responsible for obtaining facilities for various scheduled Chapter meetings. The term "facilities" includes any required items, such as meeting room, food and drink, audio-visual equipment and other resources needed for a typical meeting. The scope of this position shall include Chapter meetings identified in Wine Country Chapter Bylaws Article IX - Meetings, and other logistical needs of the Chapter.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform and uphold any and all duties as specified by the PMI Wine Country Chapter by-laws, and board policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Operations Manual for Vice President of Logistics role.
  • Consult and collaborate with the all members of the board to coordinate the needs of the Chapter.
  • Develop and implement succession and transition plan.
  • Sign contracts which have been approved by the Board of Directors, as appropriate.
  • Delegate duties and execution responsibilities, but not accountability, to other members of the management team or others, as appropriate.
  • Consult and collaborate with the all members of the board to coordinate the needs of the Chapter.
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate the delivery of the presentation of programs for regularly scheduled Chapter events.
  • Responsible for inventory of Chapter presentation hardware.
  • Responsible for finding facilities for Chapter events.
  • Responsible for webinar and virtual meeting solutions.
  • Manage Chapter event facilities during the event.
  • Responsible for procurement, inventory and delivery of event speaker gift(s).
  • Development of event budget for the Chapter budget.
  • Incorporate feedback, suggestions and recommendations as necessary to enhance event effectiveness and value delivered to the audience.
