Project Manager AI User Group: Practical AI in Action & Networking
Join us at Township Sonoma for the next meeting of the Project Manager AI User Group where we’ll explore practical, real-world ways project managers are using AI in their day-to-day work.
This month’s session will feature member-led sharing, collaborative discussion, and the opportunity to exchange ideas with peers in a supportive and informal setting. This is not a formal presentation or lecture series — it is a collaborative peer-learning space where members share what they are trying, what is working, and what they are still figuring out.
After the meeting, we’ll head over to the Sonoma Tuesday Night Farmers Market for continued conversation, networking, and community building.
Event Description
The Project Manager AI User Group is designed to create a space where project professionals can learn directly from one another through practical examples, shared challenges, and open discussion.
Following a successful inaugural session, our next meeting will move into a simple format centered on member sharing and collaborative discussion. Two members will each share a practical example of how they have used AI in their work, including what they were trying to accomplish, how they approached it, and what they learned along the way. From there, the group will open the conversation to discuss refinements, related use cases, and ways others might apply similar ideas in their own roles.
This is intended to be a welcoming and useful session for anyone curious about expanding their AI toolbox — whether you are already experimenting with AI regularly or just beginning to explore how it can support your work.

7:00 PM – 7:15 PM: Walk down to Sonoma Plaza
7:15 PM – 8:30 PM: Networking & Community Enjoyment at the Tuesday Night Farmers Market
Important Facts to Make the Evening Enjoyable
Parking: Please park on the street near Township Sonoma. We will be walking to the Plaza from there. Parking directly at the Plaza is incredibly difficult on Tuesday evenings due to the market and is not recommended.
Shoes: Because we will be walking from Township to Sonoma Plaza (approx. 2.5 blocks) and strolling the market, please wear comfortable walking shoes.
Clothing: Even in August it can cool down a little in the evening. Please bring a jacket or layers so you stay comfortable.
Seating: Please bring a lawn chair or a picnic blanket so you can sit comfortably on the grass while we network and enjoy the evening together.
Food & Beverages: For the networking portion at the Plaza, feel free to bring your own picnic items, or purchase delicious food and refreshments from the many local food trucks and vendors at the Farmers Market.
