As AI increasingly takes on administrative tasks traditionally handled by Project Managers, our role is not only to remain relevant by mastering AI tools but also to amplify what sets us apart from AI, ensuring we evolve alongside this technology. Humaning in the Age of AI is a workshop designed to recognize and expand our unique human traits and skills, allowing us to differentiate ourselves in the midst of this technological revolution. This interactive and experiential workshop provides a space for you to learn about or deepen your understanding of the following coaching skills and to dip your toe into practicing them in real time.

  • Listening: Discovering the nuances of listening at multiple levels.
  • Questioning: Unpacking the impact of powerful questions.
  • Being: Acknowledging how our presence shapes outcomes.
  • Visioning: Regularly employing visioning to imagine desired futures.
  • Join us to explore how we can harness our humanity to thrive in the age of AI!

BIO

As a resident of Sonoma and a member of the PMI Wine Country Chapter, Beth is honored to share her insights on the vital topic of being human in the midst of the AI revolution and its implications for Project Managers.

With over 20 years of experience in Project Management, Beth has immersed herself in the field. She is also a professionally trained coach. The majority of her career has been spent as a Consultant Project Manager within the ServiceNow and Salesforce ecosystems, where she has honed her skills in the “art” of project management. Her journey has also included running her own Project Management consulting business and teaching Project Management at DePaul University. Just prior to her coaching career, Beth spent five years at Salesforce, where she led strategic implementation projects for Fortune 50 companies. Beth describes herself as a human Venn diagram (credit to Christina Wallace for the concept), encompassing her roles as a technical Project Manager, professionally trained coach, and entrepreneur. She left her rewarding position at Salesforce to create more time for her coaching path. As the CEO of her own company, Beth brings a leadership perspective that emphasizes empathy for the challenges faced by the organizations she consults with, ultimately creating a greater impact beyond project logistics. In an era where AI is becoming the norm, the need for Project Managers to enhance their power skills, such as coaching, is more relevant than ever.

We make decisions every day, but relatively few have ever had any formal training in the art and science of decision making. Join us for an enlightening session that will offer attendees some lenses and tools that you can use to make better decisions in work and in life.
