Description
Over the past few years, convenience internet connected devices such Alexa, SmartTVs, security cameras, and thermostats have become increasingly prevalent in homes all over the world, allowing users to monitor and maintain their homes like never before. Just plug & play, like the manual says!
However, these devices come with hidden risks that most consumers are not aware of. Vulnerabilities that can give a malicious actor complete access to all of your information: Banking, ID, business records, correspondence, etc.
This presentation will be a light-hearted yet eye-opening view into what dangers the IoT presents, and strategies to safeguard your home devices & personal data
