2013 Dinner Meeting: September 12: "Simplicity - The Art of Maximizing the Amount of Work NOT Done"

Anup Deshpande will present "Simplicity - The art of maximizing the amount of work NOT done" at PMI Wine Country's September dinner meeting, September 12 at Legends at Bennett Valley in Santa Rosa.AnupProfile

About the program:

One of the biggest Agile principles extracted from the Agile Manifesto is, Simplicity - the art of maximizing the amount of work not done. In the Enterprise world, it is coined as MVP, the minimal viable product. Learn how to go about this principle and work on the value-driven deliverables that will help not just the bottom line but bring the focus to the customer first. Project / Program Managers have always been the catalyst to bring the team’s best foot forward to reach the project goals with a triple constraint. A new face of Project Manager in the agile world is of a “Servant Leader”. This brings about a change from how the project has been handled traditionally to be more Agile.

The agile organization depends on this Servant Leader to become a change agent and transform the way the projects are driven top-down and bottoms up at the same time and how the results are achieved consistently.

By attending this event, you will learn to

  • Put the customer first
  • De-clutter products, minds and workspaces
  • Identify and resist unwarranted change
  • Deliver the highest value to the business
  • Convert grey into “black and white” using progressive elaboration technique

Whether you are a Project / Program Manager, ScrumMaster, Product Manager, Product Owner, a project team member, a functional manager, Director, Vice President, CxO or a marketing / sales manager, this event will offer information that can be put to work the next day.
